A/V Consulting and Systems Design
LCD’s team of systems engineers will research and engineer technology best suited to your lifestyle and living space. From high performance flat screens to the latest in bespoke audiophile systems, we’ll work with your Architect and General Contractor to integrate these solutions seamlessly into your designs.
Home Automation
We’ll work to visualize scenarios (via mood board or architectural visualization) involving both lighting and window shades and help specify the gear to deliver on those visual targets - from control surfaces to lighting fixtures and shade motors and work with the general contractor to install low voltage equipment and then programming a suitable user experience involving the latest control systems such as Crestron, Lutron and Savant.
Smart Hub Installation
By deploying a client’s preferred Smart Hub (Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa, etc) and integrating it with more robust, technology specific automation tools a rich set of client specific settings can be adjusted via voice prompts or via personal devices. When requested timed settings aligned with sunrise/sunset or other triggers (such as starting a movie) can be programmed and adjusted on the fly.
Example Use Cases
Laser TV
“Laser TV” refers to an ultra-short-throw (UST) laser projector paired with a high-gain screen and built-in smart TV features. These systems offer large image sizes (100–150") at a fraction of the cost of similarly sized flat-panel displays.
Smart Speaker integration with Premium Audio
Smart speakers (Amazon Echo, Google Nest Audio, Apple HomePod) offer voice assistant features, music playback, and smart home control. When paired with premium distributed audio systems (e.g., Sonos Amp, Control4, Savant, Lutron, McIntosh, Bowers & Wilkins, etc.), they can create a hybrid user experience combining audiophile performance with conversational interfaces.
Automated Lighting Scenarios
Automated lighting systems use intelligent dimmers, keypads, occupancy sensors, and time-based logic to create personalized, dynamic lighting environments. When integrated with broader smart home ecosystems (e.g., Control4, Lutron, Crestron, Savant), these systems go beyond manual switching to offer scenes, schedules, motion response, and remote/mobile control.
